David Jablow, an artist based in Philadelphia, was recently gifted an old sketchbook with a rather suggestive base image of a woman on it. Nevertheless, the artist chose to push himself to think creatively and produced a few amazing drawings that demonstrate the extent of his imagination rather than sketching anything explicit.
In a recent interview with Bored Panda, the artist said he has been drawing his entire life and that one of his favorite activities is cartooning and illustration. “The half-drawn pin-up girls serve as the inspiration… I just imagine what they could be doing and then figure out how to create the world around them,” explained David. He has been working on his vintage doodle series for the past 10 years and says each illustration is a new but familiar challenge.
